PS3 Stereoscopic 3D Gameplay

Recent footage has surfaced showcasing stereoscopic 3D gameplay for the PS3 at TGS 2009.

The Director of the Software Development Department for SCE, Hideyuki Agata stated that,

“Sony is looking to bring stereo vision to the home in 2010. We’d like to increase our content, in line with the start of 3D games in 2010. So far, we’ve wanted to give players a more natural experience by converting 2D games into 3D. Bringing stereo vision to the game allows the player to feel more depth, and the game world becomes more real.”

The footage shows gamers with the stereoscopic 3D glasses playing Wipeout HD.

PSPgo Hacked, Says Hello World

While Sony went to great lengths towards preventing a repeat of the Pandora battery hack on PSPgo, they evidently forgot to patch up some existing security vulnerabilities on the software side. Mere days after the launch of the new hardware, homebrew developer FreePlay has managed to run unsigned code on it. Above is a video clip showing off his efforts in the form of a hello world proof of concept.

Bayonetta Gameplay Video

When Sega showed off the PS3 version of Bayonetta at an event in Tokyo late last month, many who attended were disappointed by the blurry graphics and surprisingly erratic frame rate when compared to the Xbox 360 version. Tatsuya Minami discusses the issue in a blog post today on the PlatinumGames blog, explaining that Sega is the company handling the PS3 port. Check out the video after the jump.

The PSP Go unboxing Video

I still have my apprehension about the PSP Go most importantly because of the price. Sony did a pretty horrid job of keeping the development of the PSP Go anything but a secret. The Sony PSP Go specs is not jaw dropping the control schemes still remains the same. But from the looks of it this may be Sony's first blantant attempt to let Apple know that their is a New guy on the block sorta.

DLC(Download Content) is the future and Apple has already prep the mass public with it's Apple App Store. Sony see's a market where there is only one king. The differentiating factor in this new Digital War is Sony will focus only on the relationship that the PSP has with the PlayStation 3. While taking the next step of making DLC the norm a way of life for many especially our next generation of youths.

The PSP Go unboxing

The guys over at GameRadar are some lucky folks they received a chance to preview a PS# Slim before they hit the street. Luckily for the internet, you and I can also experience Sony's all new redesign PS3 Slim.

Resident Evil 5 PS3/360 Comparison

The devil is in the details when the evil is exposed. I am still not feeling Resident Evil 5 controls for Sony PS3, but it will be something I have to overcome, because I am a fan of the Resident Evil series. The biggest question would be which version to get, PS3 or 360. If you are planning to get the special edition version of Resident Evil the PS3 special edition version may be the best value because the special additional content will be on Blu-ray in 1080p.

Dante's Inferno Trailer

According to PSM3 "What really sets this apart from God of War is the setting. Dante's trip through hell is altogether more unpleasant, twisted creatures burst from doorways, lava spews from inverted crosses and bottomless fiery pits yawn deep beneath your feet."

Can EA dethrone the original action masterpiece God of War III with Dante's Inferno?

Amazing-looking Border Break.

SEGA is making a new mecha versus arcade game. Specifically one that is fully online that supports up to 20 players (10 a side). At AOU 2009 Sega revealed the Ringedge and Ringwide trademarks are being used for a new series of Windows based arcade boards.

Both pieces of hardware utilize Windows Embedded Home 2009, but have different chipsets. Ringedge has an Intel Pentium Processor E2160 running at 1.8Ghz at its core while Ringwide uses a Celeron Processor 440 running at 2Ghz.

Escape From City 17 - Part One

The Escape From City 17 short film series is an adaptation based on the Half Life computer game saga by Valve Corporation. Originally envisioned as a project to test out numerous post production techniques, as well as a spec commercial, it ballooned into a multi part series. Filmed guerilla style with no money, no time, no crew, no script, the first two episodes were made from beginning to end on a budget of $500. Not bad for only $500.00 I have to give the The Purchase Brothers some credit very well done on a extremly limited budget.
